26 August 2013 End Violence against Woman Now "Take a night back" The SACP in the Western Cape will join and Support a march organised by ILitha Labantu community-based organisation under the theme "TAKE BACK THE NIGHT" on the 28 August 2012 at 18:00pm.The purpose of the march is calling the immediate "end of violence against woman now ". Be at Shell Garage, Gugulethu, Corner of NY 3A and NY 1, or Mannenberg Police Station, at 18h00 on 28 August. Please confirm with organisers. As SACP we support the march and urge the community and members of the SACP to come in numbers. As SACP we further call for the urgent revival of the street committees to liberate our communities from fear of hardened and budding criminals. The Alliance and community organisations must lead this process to safeguard members of communities, their streets and households As SACP reiterate our call to the MEC to re-launch the Bambanani Neighbourhood watch which was active during the time the ANC was in power. Bambanani Neighbourhood watch was the most effective community based forum in combating all forms of crimes and a defended of the vulnerable groups in our society.
