South African Communist Party, Western Cape, Media Alert, 24 April 2014 SACP Western Cape Press Chris Hani March The South African Communist Party (SACP) in the Western Cape will embark on a Chris Hani mass march to the provincial legislature on 25 April 2014. As the SACP celebrates and commemorates the sacrifice of Comrade Chris Hani, the masses of our people in the Western Cape have nothing to celebrate as they are still subjected to policies that perpetuate colonial and apartheid segregation and racial discrimination. Thus, our people, the workers and the poor of this province, have witnessed and experienced first-hand the regressive nature of Western Cape governing administration. >From the interior rural farmworkers, to the coastal fishing communities and the urban masses all bear scars of the Western Cape administration's anti-poor and negligent mismanagement of this province. Too long has this administration turned a blind eye to the needs of the poor and instead focused attention and funding on maintaining already established wealthy districts. The SACP will deliver a memorandum containing the grievances, concerns and atrocities experienced by working class citizens residing under the provincial and city administration in the province. March Details: . Friday 25 April 2014 . Route of the procession will commence @10h00 from Kaizergraght Street (as the gathering point) . Proceed to Darling Street @11h30, Whale Street and culminate in the delivery of the memorandum at the Provincial Legislature. All media houses are invited to cover the press conference and Chris Hani March Issued by the SACP Enquiries: Masonwabe Sokoyi, SACP Western Cape Provincial Spokesperson Mobile: 074 177 2068 Email: [email protected] Regards, Masonwabe Sokoyi SACP Western Cape Provincial Spokesperson Cell: 074 177 2068/ 076 524 3242 Office: 021 762 9717 Fax: 086 558 2481 twitter: @SACPWC Facebook: SACP Western Cape Email: [email protected] -- -- You are subscribed.
