The Internet is Shrinking

British publisher forcing Marx/Engels Collected Works off the Internet

Lawrence and Wishart, who hold the copyright for the English-language
Marx/Engels Collected Works, originally published jointly with Progress
Publishers, Moscow, have directed Marxists Internet Archive to delete all
texts originating from the 50-volume set.

Accordingly, from 30th April 2014, no material from Marx Engels Collected
Works (MECW) is available from marxists.org.

English translations of Marx and Engels from other sources will continue to
be available on MIA.

You can buy a single volume of MECW for US $25-$50.

Until the 30th of April, the MECW is still available at:

https://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/works/cw/index.htm

Millions of present and future scholars will be affected by this action of
Lawrence and Wishart <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lawrence_and_Wishart> -
a company that had its origins in the Communist Party of Great Britain
during the internationalist and anti-fascist days of the 1930s.
