10 September 2014 SADTU to turn sod at site for new headquarters The South African Democratic Teachers' Union SADTU will soon begin constructing its new headquarters in Kempton Park, East of Johannesburg. To mark this, SADTU will on Friday, 12 September have a sod-turning ceremony at the site. The headquarters will accommodate an office block, training institute, conference centre and 250-bed residential accommodation. Public Works Minister and former SADTU General Secretary Thulas Nxesi, COSATU President S'dumo Dlamini and Ekurhuleni's MMC for finance Moses Makwakwa will attend the ceremony.
