SADTU Eastern Cape Media Statement, 10 March 2015

SADTU mourns the death of four teachers

SADTU in the Eastern Cape Province wishes to convey and express its deepest
condolences to the families of four Mount Parkard Junior Secondary School
teachers who died when a taxi they were travelling in collided with a
bulldozer on the road to Coffee Bay last week.

The tragic death of one teacher is one too many, the death of four teachers
from one school is a tragedy of epic proportions. Their deaths leave a
massive void that their families, the school and education in the province
will have to come to terms with. May their souls rest in peace.

As SADTU we give our unwavering support to the families during this trying
time.

A memorial service will take place at the Mqanduli Multi-Purpose Centre on
Wednesday, 11 March 2015 from 9am
