ANC Statement, 2 April 2015 On the Expulsion of the COSATU General Secretary The African National Congress notes the decision of COSATU CEC to expel its General Secretary Zwelinzima Vavi. The ANC through its task team led by its Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa will forge ahead with the task of assisting the federation resolve its challenges that have preoccupied the organisation. We are encouraged by the positive progress made by the task team in engaging COSATU's different affiliates. Despite the latest developments, the task team will continue with its task as mandated by the NEC.
