YCLSA.png YCLSA Press Statement, 2 April 2015 YCLSA condemns xenophobic attacks and utterances attributed to King Zwelithini The Young Communist League of South Africa [uFasimba] condemns the fresh spate of xenophobic attacks especially in the KwaZulu-Natal Province. A couple of cases of attacks and looting of shops owned foreign nationals have been reported in the past week. It is alleged that the recent spate of xenophobic attacks are prompted by the utterances by King Goodwill Zwelithini last week in Phongola when he allegedly said all foreign nationals must go back home immediately. The king's words were supposedly echoed by President Zuma's son, Edward, who said we are in danger of having our country taken over by foreign nationals. If indeed the King did utter these horrendous words we call on him to withdraw them considering that people are now using them to attack foreign nationals. It is alleged that the King said all foreign nationals must be all out of the country before Wednesday. We call on the South African Human Rights Commission to investigate this matter. We call on our fellow South Africans to desist from looting and attacking foreign nationals. Our enemy is not each other but our common enemy is capitalism.
