DENOSA Media Statement, 15 April 2015 DENOSA Gauteng condemns the attacks on SATAWU and its leadership The Democratic Nursing Organisation of South Africa (DENOSA) in Gauteng condemns in the strongest possible terms the killing of SATAWU Provincial Secretary in Gauteng, cde Chris Nkosi, on Monday night and the bombing of the Union President's house yesterday morning. We deplore these violent acts in our society and further call on anyone with any information to come forward and assist the law enforcement agencies in acting swiftly in bringing them to book. We send our deepest heartfelt condolences to the Nkosi family during these trying times. We further urge SATAWU members to remain calm and allow the police space to investigate. We further call on all leaders in our trade union movement and alliance broadly to refrain from talking violence in these difficult times as we note and condemn comments made by Cde Lulamile Jack the deputy provincial Chairman of MKMVA in Limpopo's COSATU Shop Stewards Council that he will kill Vavi. We call for calm and allow space for engagement.
