President Zuma Sends Condolences on the Passing of Struggle Veteran

 

Mr Kisten Moonsamy

 

 

President Jacob Zuma has conveyed his words of condolences on the sad
passing of struggle veteran Mr Kisten Moonsamy, who served 14 years on
Robben Island.

 

Mr Moonsamy was sentenced to Robben Island as part of the Natal group who
were tried and sentenced in 1963 by the apartheid state.

 

"On behalf of government and all the people of South Africa, we would like
to convey our deepest words of condolence to his family, friends and fellow
veterans of the struggle. May his soul rest in peace," said President Zuma.
