YCLSA.png YCLSA Press Statement, June 2015 YCLSA Youth Month Rally The Young Communist League of South Africa [uFasimba] will host its Youth Month rally under the theme “YCLSA to the front; fighting soldiers for socialism” this Saturday in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. YCLSA celebrates the youth of 1976 The Communist League of South Africa [uFasimba] celebrates the gallant youth of 1976. Their heroic fight against the apartheid government paved a way for the freedoms that we enjoy today. As the YCLSA we remain inspired by their selflessness and their courage to fight against white minority rule. Their struggle inspires us to redouble our efforts in fighting today’s struggles. Young people in our country are the hardest hit by the triple challenges of unemployment, poverty and inequalities. Many of our youths are excluded from academic activities because of their working class background, while those who have access are struggling with books, accommodation and meals. We note the efforts that are being made to streamline post-school opportunities with TVET colleges. However, there remains a long way to go for our education system to be the model our children deserve. Communities, teachers and parents must increase their focus on the education of the youth and see this as the primary effort of communities and families. Our youth month message will be delivered by the National Secretary, Cde Mluleki Dlelanga, on Saturday at our youth month rally.
