Yemen:

Saudi Police Station Hit Kills 26

The Morning Star, London, 19 January 2016

At least 26 people were confirmed killed yesterday after the Saudi-led
military coalition bombed a police building in the capital Sanaa.

Some 30 more people were believed to be trapped under the rubble of the
building, while 15 were injured in the air raid at midnight on Sunday.

Security forces quickly sealed off the area as earth-moving equipment
arrived to help with the search for bodies and survivors under the debris.

Police vehicles parked in the building's courtyard were destroyed and nearby
homes suffered damage.

The dead were identified as police officers and Houthi militiamen.

The targeted building was used as a gathering point for security forces and
occasionally by Anar Allah as an assembly point for Houthi forces headed to
deployment elsewhere in Yemen.

Meanwhile, Nairobi-based humanitarian news agency Integrated Regional
Information Networks announced the death of one of its contributors in
Yemen.

It said Almigdad Mohammed Ali Mojalli, who also contributed to Western media
including the Daily Telegraph, had been killed on Sunday just outside Sanaa
in an "apparent" air strike.

The Houthis back former president Ali Abdullah Saleh, who also enjoys the
support of much of the armed forces, against ousted president Abed Rabbo
Mansour Hadi.

The Saudi-led coalition of nine Arab and African states began air strikes in
support of Mr Hadi's forces in March, later sending in ground troops.

On January 10, a Doctors Without Borders hospital in Yemen was bombed,
killing four patients.
