MTT Report, Out at Last

The Department of Basic Education's Ministerial Task Team Report came out
some time between Friday, 20 May 2016 and Saturday morning, 21 May 2016.

It seems as if the actual report, now that it is in the open, has been
ignored in today's Sunday newspapers, after two years of fake uproar based
on innuendo.

Among the findings is this:

"No philosophy or overall vision for the post 1994 Departments of Basic and
Higher Education and Training has developed."

The DBE consequently proposes:

"That the DBE and the DHET, with universities and other stakeholders
including the unions lead discussion aimed at developing a broad-based
philosophy of education, consistent with our history and Constitution, which
will underpin the education and training of educators and shape the practice
of education in schools throughout South Africa."

This is not a bad idea! It's a good idea! Let us begin! Or, in the CU's
case, let us continue!

Below is a listing of the parts of the MTT Report. The CU has archived each
part as a separate PDF file for your convenience, as well as the full
report. Please follow the links.
