South African Communist Party Gauteng Province, 25 June 2016 Press Alert: SACP Gauteng Special PEC makes an announcement following the unrest in Tshwane The South African Communist Party Gauteng Province (SACP) will hold a special Provincial Executive Committee meeting to receive a report on the violence, which broke out in Tshwane over the week. The special PEC will also focus on the election of Cde Thoko Didiza as Mayoral Candidate for the African National Congress (ANC) ahead of the Local Government Elections on the 3rd of August 2016. The committee will also receive a report from the Task Team, which was setup to investigate the violence, which gripped some areas in the Metropolitan Municipality and discuss the SACP's election programme towards securing a decisive two-thirds majority victory for the ANC in Tshwane.
