"That is why we say the third of August will be the day. Let's all go to the polls and vote for the ANC." In a clear reference to the EFF, Zuma said,"There are organisations that are just hell-bent on creating chaos and being disrespectful in Parliament. How do you then call people who cause havoc in Parliament... 'honourable member'?" He said the EFF were simply going through the motions by campaigning, even though they knew that they wouldn't win. "If you vote for that party, you are throwing away your vote. Your vote is very important so why would you throw away your vote?" asked Zuma. The president also urged the community to convince their friends who belonged to other parties to vote for the ANC. "Your vote is a secret, therefore nobody in your party will know that you aren't being loyal to them by putting your cross next to the ANC."
