SADTU Teachers at Work, with logo, smaller.png 15 November 2016 SADTU Gauteng Condemns Assault of School Principal The union is outraged and condemns in strong possible terms the stabbing of the principal of Paul Mosaka Primary School in Pimville, Soweto. The perpetrator is a former teacher at the school who resigned when charges were laid against him. He was a teacher at the school and it was established that he possesses fraudulent qualifications. This matter was reported to the Central Police Station last year and regrettably, no action has been taken to date. Need for speed We call on the law enforcement agencies to speedily deal with this criminal act and bring the culprit to book. Further, we urge the Gauteng Department of Education to provide the necessary support to the principal as well as the affected teachers and learners. The GDE must also give serious attention to safety and security in schools and strengthen its qualifications verification processes Issued by: Tseliso Ledimo, Provincial Secretary, 082 459 4737 Dudu Nkosi, Deputy Provincial Secretary, 082 459 4743 __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 14445 (20161115) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com -- -- You are subscribed.
