SACP with Red, 3.png South African Communist Party, Media Invitation, 21 August 2017 SACP to hold the first plenary session of its 14th Central Committee The South African Communist Party will hold, from 25 to 27 August, the 1st Plenary Session of its 14th Congress Central Committee, the highest decision-making body of the Party when the National Congress is not in session. The meeting will evaluate and discuss an implementation framework for the resolutions adopted by the Congress, which took place last month. The meeting will elect the Political Bureau, the highest decision-making body of the Party when the Central Committee is not in session. Related to the composition of the Political Bureau, the meeting will appoint heads of Central Committee commissions and sub-committees. Linked to all of these tasks the Central Committee will discuss the unfolding political situation in South Africa and take further decisions on the role facing the working class and the SACP as its political party going forward. The SACP is inviting the media to a post-meeting press briefing where Party Officials led by the Central Committee Secretariat will communicate the key outcomes of the meeting.
