I've encountered this problem as well in Japanese and it is infuriating. One thing you could do is to export your posts by day, instead. If you export by day, the tags are saved correctly in UTF-8. For example: "api/posts/get?&dt=2005-05-19" BTW, I can't search in Japanese either from IE 6.0 (I don't know about the other browsers). When will that be fixed?
