Well, you have the (positive) lock-in that many delicious users experience. If you suddenly switch to Simpy (or a Flock SBM), you wouldn't get all those shared links from all the early adopters. I think someone, somewhere, wrote that the Web
2.0 was about sharing and playing nicely with each other. Think of it, isn't it better that the Flock folks think about making a great browser, that Joshua et al make delicious a great SBM, that Stuart et al make Flickr even better, that Technorati, 43Things&Places, and so on and so on make their services great ... and that Flock is a great browser for those services.
I think it makes great sense.
When it comes to whether or not Flock will succeed, that's another question. There are a lot of great browsers out there. But they do pretty much the same thing and much of the interaction is at 1994-levels. A little updating won't hurt. I wouldn't mind having my bookmarklets built in better than they are now, either.
