I use a PithHelmet script I wrote to go through and naively remove
duplicates, but that only works if you have Safari with PithHelmet
installed. If you do, you can grab it from http://www.astrogoth.com/
index.php/Software.
If you're using Firefox, there's at least one greasemonkey script to
dedupe entries. One such is at http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/827.
I know there's an IE plugin that does greasemonkeylike things, but I
have used IE about four times in the past month and couldn't tell you
what the plugin was called. Google will be your friend here.

latest duplicate of a bookmark. To reveal all, the user would click on
"and n other people" or on an icon similar to the triangle for the tag

If this is not useful on the main view, it would be useful in the
inbox. I find myself wishing that I could have a list without all of
the duplicates in the inbox. particularly if I have a popular tag in
it (in fact, I have removed some of the more popular tags from my
inbox due to this).
If there is already a way to obtain this effect, could someone explain
how to do it?
