Forgot to stress out:
1. the hang I mentioned is quite long, usually more than 10 seconds -
that means maybe search really worked, just that I didn't get the result?
2. this happens on *every* (user) search, not just occassionaly - I
can't remember the last time it worked. As I don't use it so often, I din't
report it earlier because I thought it would be sorted out among other
glitches...
