Hi everyone --
Wanted to let you all know that we pushed-out a minor update for the
new del.icio.us Bookmarks extension this evening. The new version
(v1.3.44) is available via addons.mozilla.org and via the auto-update
mechanism built-into Firefox. The update fixes several bugs which
were reported here and elsewhere:
- The "Cancel" button now works properly in the confirmation dialog
that notifies you about the incompatibility with extensions like
Google Browser Sync and Foxmarks. Please note that we would love for
these extensions to co-exist and we are working on it.
- Livemarks and keywords are now searchable.
- "shortcut:" tags are now visible in your tag list.
- We changed the polling interval for import status, which should
eliminate instances of users being blocked by our servers.
- Several fixes to the search feature.
- Added an "import in progress" message to the sidebar and drop-down
if you already have an import underway but no bookmarks are available yet.
In addition, we added one enhancement: the toolbar now includes a
del.icio.us icon, which when clicked displays a context menu which
enables you to switch between the "Tags" and "Bookmarks" views. This
selector was fairly hidden before, and we hope that making it more
obvious will make the toolbar more useful to you.
This is just the first round of improvements. The team is still hard
at work on this extension and we're definitely listening to your
feedback. Thanks for taking the time to tell us what you think, both
the good and the bad; it's been really helpful.
