Hi, I think it might be interesting to give users feedback on link propagation via for:username.
In particular, if I use for:X, then I would see statistics for that bookmark's propagation through X: * the number of people who have received this bookmark as a result of sending this bookmark to X * the number of people who have clicked on this link as a result of sending this bookmark to X * the number of people who have bookmarked this link as a result of sending this bookmark to X The actual tree of transmissions that resulted from sending this bookmark to X would also be shown, though the names of the receivers would not be revealed. You could also show a graph of receptions/clicks/bookmarks over time via X. I think this sort of feedback would encourage people to use for: more often because there is a sense of satisfaction in spreading a link to many people most of whom end up bookmarking it. It would also be interesting to learn who the main spreaders are so that you could just send links to them first. The advantage to all of this would be a better form of personalized recommendations.
