perhaps what delicious needs is some sort of miniature control bar
implemented in it. I find myself often wishing I had some sort of
control panel with a few one-touch/one-click buttons for some simple
features (for example, a start/abort bookmark synch). One feature I
have been wondering about is an auto-cull feature whereby delicious
could go out over the web, attempt to connect to each one of your
stored bookmarks, and then return a list of dead or rerouted links and
allow you as a user to decide to keep them or not. I don't think I'm
the only one that would find this useful, but currently, I have
collected over 3,000 bookmarks and would love to simplify the process
instead of having to manually visit each page (very time-consuming)
and determine whether I should keep, tag, or delete these links. What
do you all think?

(this might be a philosophical discussion more than anything): I am
sure I'm not the only one who finds naming tags like "charlieparker"
to be really annoying. Programmer or not, I liked the fact that under
the old regime I could have nested folders named more like natural
language. Also, I'm interested in knowing how other people tag their
bookmarks. For example, I find that I tend to tag my bookmarks more
for my own personal reference than for sharing, which means I often
leave out very specific tags that other people might search for. As
an example, I have a bunch of bookmarks on electrical engineering
(being that I am an EE) but I don't like typing "electrical
engineering" as two separate tags, and I don't like tags such as
"electricalengineering", so I have shortened that to "EE". But using
that scheme, would most people know to look for electrical engineering
bookmarks using "EE"? That kind of

of the bookmarks on the left side of my browser? I haven't seen them
for weeks, then they showed up briefly yesterday, and now they are
gone again. What's the deal here?

I have something else in mind. How about a way to block users? Or at
least a filter mechanism so such content as porn can be blocked off
especially in the subscriptions page.
