Not so. I log into my YDL boxes with two way password encryption no problem. Just use an argument like so in /etc/atalk/afpd.conf:
-uamlist uams_randnum.so,uams_dhx_passwd.so,uams_pam.so
On my RHL 7.2 laptop server, I had to change uams_dhx_passwd.so to uams_dhx_pam.so in order for this to work. Using the uams_dhx_passwd.so produced an error (uam_load(uams_dhx_passwd.so): mod_symbol error for symbol uams_dhx_passwd).
