Hmmmm.... It appears I may have been a little rash in my original question. It ended up that my main problem was actually the lack of 64-bit support for libspe -- reworking the programs for 32-bit made it work. However, I still don't have any /proc entries for my SPEs, which is wierd, and the binfmt handler for SPUs doesn't seem to be there.
