I'm up and running (yay!) I need to have OpenAFS on this machine. The building process requires that a kernel module be built, which in turn requires that headers for the currently running kernel be available. They aren't in the default install, and "yum install kernel-devel" returns the rather surprising result that no such packages exist in the repository.
I've installed the entire kernel source package, copied kernel-2.6.22-ppc.config to .config, gone into "make menuconfig" and come back, but still, the OpenAFS "configure" script bombs with checking your OS... configure: error: No usable linux headers found at /usr/src/linux-2.6.22-0.ydl.rc4 What gives? -- Atro Tossavainen (Mr.) / The Institute of Biotechnology at Systems Analyst, Techno-Amish & / the University of Helsinki, Finland, +358-9-19158939 UNIX Dinosaur / employs me, but my opinions are my own. < URL : http : / / www . helsinki . fi / %7E atossava / > NO FILE ATTACHMENTS _______________________________________________ yellowdog-general mailing list [email protected] http://lists.terrasoftsolutions.com/mailman/listinfo/yellowdog-general HINT: to Google archives, try '<keywords> site:terrasoftsolutions.com'
