Derick, Thanks for your response. What you have spelled out makes sense. However, are there any guidelines for what packages constitute a good basic server install setup - by that I mean just a basic server with no other software as a starting point? If I go the YDL5.x route I'm going to need to know what I can ditch and what I need to keep!
