Hi Kevin, Wouldn't the correct boot command be:
boot ultra0:1,\\yaboot That's the way we used to do it. We've moved away from YDL now though, so it's been a while. Joshua A. Hi, I have a dual 2.5 GHz G5. It has 2 SATA disks in it. MacOS X is installed on "the lower" disk (slave or second). YDL is installed on the upper disk. I can boot MacOS X on the lower disk with: boot ultra1:3,\\:tbxi If I try to boot Linux (yaboot?) with: boot ultra0:1,\\:tbxi I get: warning: sector size mismatch! can't OPEN: ultra0:1,\\:tbxi can't open device or file The OF version is: Apple PowerMac7,3 5.1.8f7 10/26/04 devalias ultra0 is /ht/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/k2-sata-root/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/[EMAIL PROTECTED] devalias ultra1 is /ht/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/k2-sata-root/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/[EMAIL PROTECTED] The installer appears to have created an MSDOS style partition table? Is that right? I used install_text for the install. I have YDL 4.0.1 on a GigE that I can boot with: boot ultra1:2,\\:tbxi with no problems. It brings up yaboot just fine.
