Two other things I can think of (it was a while ago that we installed it).

1. Did you remove everything extra attached to your MAC (USB devices, for 
example)? Seems we had a problem with that.

2. Is there a specific error message you are getting about X86?  We were 
getting such a message, and the problem was that in the Yellow Dog config file, 
two numbers were transposed.  This problem has already been discussed on this 
list, and if you search the archives, you can locate the specific file to edit 
and numbers to switch.
