The problem isn't getting the installation onto the drive; it's getting the installation on the Firewire drive to boot the computer. I understand that Terra Soft Solutions has resolved this problem. It might be more economical speaking in terms of time, your time, to just buy the firewire drives they sell which already have YDL pre-installed on them.

Another alternative:
I just came across a posting regarding this problem which Norberto Quintanar addressed as follows:

When you reboot with ALT + APPLE KEY + O + F You should see a boot
prompt and at this prompt type:

boot fw/node/sbp-2/[EMAIL PROTECTED]:2, yaboot

I also want to know if it is possible and EXACTLY how it can be done..

The information on such are very very hard to come by for some reason..
