Well, first I started by installing YDL from a G4 iBook instead of a
G5 tower - finally figuring out that a 64 Bit system might be a bit
incompatible with a 32 bit CPU.
However I still had to use the G3 in target mode at this point as it
wouldn't boot into YDL. So YDL still ran on the G4.
The problem was that the yaboot.conf file was set to a firewire
device as boot device, so changing all the device references within
the conf file and writing it back with ybin -d sda2 eventually did
the trick.
