Hi Bob:

All updates for any application within the YDL environment is best done from within yum. As superuser you can do:

#yum check-update *firefox*

or

# yum update *firefox*

Of course you could download and build the source yourself or get the nightly builds but then it has been demonstrated that having the latest is not always the greatest. Also in the YDL environment, there are literally no chances for virus or other infections which other operating systems are exposed to. The best advice is to keep the YDL firewall up and running.
