i downloaded them but even when i do text install it still freezes on media
page.
I also redownloaded them from ydl mirror from yellow dog site. it's not the
discs.
same results. i only got 2.1 fiji to install once properly.

Have you used the text install, or the graphical installer? I seem to
recall that I had a similar problem with my initial install when I ran
the graphical installer.
You may also have problems with the CDs you are using. Where did you get
them? Download? Purchase?
