Hey, people I recently installed YDL for my Playstation 3 console. I ripped the
torrent off the net along with kboot and eventually got the installation
running and succesfully completed it in textinstall format. Because i'm
installing it for my Standard Def t.v. I restarted my console and went to the
GUI prompt where I enter my root username and password upon which it logs me
in. I know that I now need to download the Xautoconfig tool and have many times
entered the appropriate URL in this exact form without the " spaces included:
wget
http://www.terrasoftsolutions.com/support/solutions/ydl_5.0/Xautoconfig-0.23-2.ydl.2.ppc.rpm
After i eneter it the system says that it is processing the request and after
about 15 sec returns with and error messege that says my request was invalid or
something. I've tried doing this many many many times now and have be come very
frustrated. I wondering if it has something to do with my internet connection?
I am connected to my DSL and the connections are fine but during the
installation i was promted with a setup menu that displayed network
connections. Supposing that I needed to fill it out i enetered the appropriate
connection info for my provider. Also I have heard that sometimes the server is
down? I've done it so many times that i cannot see how this can be true.
Anyway, thanks for the help people I know this probally is something stupid
that i've overlooked but i appreciate your help. Also, sorry for the long
messege; I felt i needed a proper explanation of the situation.
