Apologies again, Sacarde. Do you mean: * You wish to use packages prepared by archlinuxppc.org?
or * You are using the archlinuxppc.org version or distribution of linux? From the way you structured your reply, I'll risk guessing that you mean that you are using their distribution of Linux. I have read of others who use two or more distributions of Linux on their computer for whatever reason. As long as you've followed their installation recommendations, etc. there is no problem with that. However one needs to remember that archlinuxppc.org, like most other projects or efforts, will have variations or approaches which differ from one another. I have sincere respect for each of the efforts of all these volunteers. You stated that gnash works within that distribution, and it allows you to watch youtube. Great! Allow me to state that I don't use YDL to do that, so it is possible that I missed describing something you care about. I'll explain what I see when I visit youtube and the browsers I'm using. Firefox v 1.5.0.1.0. The movie appears but the control bar for starting and stopping the video exists in the middle of the window. Also when I select any movie, a blank smaller window appears in the lower left corner of Firefox. Seamonkey 1.0.8 Same as above Gnome web browser 2.14.3 The only performance difference is that the blank smaller window appears in the upper right corner of this browser. As I stated earlier I don't use Linux to view video. For me it is much simpler to use OS X when I want to watch video or play online flash games, etc. The one positive thing I can state regarding gnash is that it has allowed flash commercials to appear (very slowly) when I visit nyt.com. I hate commercials at any speed.
