Issue 115: C-e on last line moves to second last letter

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open any file/buffer
2. Move to the end of the input and type some characters but not a newline,
so that the last line is non-empty.
3. C-a (or otherwise move left)
4. C-e does not move to the end of the buffer/line as I would expect, but
to just before the last letter. In fact <down> or <right> have the same
behaviour. Only M-> works
