New issue 328 by [email protected]: vsplit doesn't work in vim mode

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open yi in vim mode
2. :vsplit
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The window should split into two panes, one on the left and another on the
right. Instead it says "error: the vsplit command is unknown."
