I thought I might write down my experience of this bug.
Yesterday (2011-03-23) I installed the generic ghc 7.02 (64 bit) for linux,
and used it to compile the haskell platform (2011.2.0.0) from source.
Following this I tried to install Yi with:
cabal install yi
I got back the exact same "dependencies conflict" message as reported above.
I'll just wait until the problem is resolved and the hackage version of Yi
is updated. Hopefully that won't be too far off.
