Hello Yocto Community, This is my first post at the Yocto community. I am not an expert on Linux systems but I will try to explain our issue.
I've being porting our Yocto 1.4 system to a newer Yocto 2.7. I can successfully build and run the sato image in our newer Congatec target. The mail goal is to have our main Linux application (QT5 based) to startup automatically after Linux finishes starting up. Part of that script, which is based of the matchbox-session, s ets up the terminal window in full screen mode with no borders and no mouse pointer. Our startup script runs fine under Yocto 1.4 but no longer starts on Yocto 2.7. With Yocto 2.7, Linux always starts with a Terminal window with the sh-4.4# prompt from which I can only manually run our application. So far I discovered these two flavors of matchbox-session that can be used to initialized the main active window: * recipes-graphics/matchbox-session * recipes-sato/matchbox-sato/matchbox-session-sato The recommended approach is to create a recipe append as described by this Yocto post ( https://wiki.yoctoproject.org/wiki/FAQ:How_do_I_change_and_add_startup_scripts ). I've created such recipe append for both flavors of matchbox-session but still the Linux system didn't start neither one of them. I also tried modifying directly both flavors of matchbox-session recipes but still the startup script didn't run. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Eduardo Trama
