I am considering pushing to drop grub entirely from meta-intel and using syslinux and efilinux recipes. I don't see any added value in grub for embedded Intel platforms. So in that sense, I'd be happy to see it go to OE - but whether it needs to be in OE or OE-Core, I don't know.
