I believe so. The aktualizr recipe includes the following (edited for
simplicity):
BBCLASSEXTEND =+ "native"
do_install_append () {
install -m 0644 ${S}/config/sota.conf ${D}/${libdir}/sota.conf
}
PACKAGES =+ " ${PN}-host-tools "
FILES_${PN}-host-tools = " ${libdir}/sota.conf "
