Hey there, I first of all want to say I really love Yoper, and it's probably
my favorite distro. I would use it, but I have a problem. When I get into
the SaX2 setup utility, it doesn't detect my monitor, a KDS 19-inch CRT-type
monitor. I try to select a generic VESA type, and set the resolution fairly
low to be sure, but when it tests the resolution it always hangs. It freezes
up with a black screen, and a frozen blinking cursor in the top left of the
screen. I can't understand why it doesn't work with just a generic monitor
setting, and why it should freeze up like that (even when I do
ctl-alt-backspace as it suggests, it doesn't break the freeze). If you can
suggest anything, I will be very grateful.
Hope blacksand is coming along well! Good luck! =-=- Julian

"He increased his pace, and as the car devoured the street and leaped forth
on the high road through the open country, he was only conscious that he was
Toad once more, Toad at his best and highest, Toad the terror, the
traffic-queller, the Lord of the lone trail, before whom all must give way
or be smitten into nothingness and everlasting night. He chanted as he flew,
and the car responded with sonorous drone; the miles were eaten up under him
as he sped he knew not whither, fulfilling his instincts, living his hour,
reckless of what might come to him."
-- Kenneth Grahame, "The Wind in the Willows"
