Great. Small apps is a great way to improve yoper.
Tell me if you need someone to look over your code or whatever.

Hi team,
I started a project at sourceforge called yoper-utils (still pending
review). I hope to build an entire collection of lightweight and
effective
utilities to perform various system tasks. Scripts that I have already
built are: yoper-utils-ndis: performs the ndiswrapper setup,
yoper-utils-network: allows the user to change network settings quickly,
yoper-utils-rpmwizard: provides a simple gui to build rpms using mach
locally.
I have plans to build many utilities to perform simple system tasks.
Because of my limited programming skills I am writing these using
kdialog
and bash. This allows very light weight apps to be built however they
are
limited to kde since they depend upon kdialog for the gui. These might
possibly be re-coded in python by a skilled python coder to work in any
graphical environment.
If you have any ideas that you think might make good material for
yoper-utils project please send them and if you have scripts of your own
that might be modified and elaborated using kdialog for gui controls
send
them and I will be glad to see if I can wrangle them into a
yoper-utils-tool.
Best Regards, Walter
Looks like a cool idea Walter. I shall check it out asap.
I have given my wife a suggestion for a little app which, when she has
some
free time, I hope she can work on for me ;)
I also sent her the link to your sourceforge page - on the off chance
that she
may come up with some ideas - either on recoding ( she does C and
C++ though)
or maybe some ideas which could be developed into tools.
As we all know - I am useless at that sort of thing ;)
