Having now got a lot more familiar with presets, it occurred to me that
MAX_PRESETS doesn't refer to the total number of presets in a directory but the
total of just any *one* type in that directory!
Really? a list of 1000 (say) effects presets. I'm very much inclined to bring
this into line with everything else and make it 128, unless anyone objects.
