This is a Mac list, but it's a Mac list for people who've chosen to use Microsoft products. Certainly Outlook in the past has been different from Entourage, but that's not necessarily a compliment to Entourage. Two quick examples: 1. The awful mess the Entourage "Database" file creates for people trying to back up their data or keep their personal information in sync on multiple computers. 2. The awful formatting that Entourage imposes on plain text messages which periodically spawns threads about the "Quoted Printable" designations for "high-ASCII" characters that get added to messages somewhere between their origin and their destination. Let's at least be fair to Microsoft. They have a gargantuan task trying to make programs look familiar to users in quite different operating systems, especially since those differences become even more significant once one goes beneath the surface (user interface) to just how applications communicate with their datafiles, etc. Now, if your comment is that Entourage has a history of being far more reliable or user-friendly for Mac users than Outlook has been for Windows users, that's something we probably SHOULD be discussing as many of us comtemplate just which version of Mac Office 2011 to purchase for our upgrades.
