I hope this topic is not too boring but I think the nasty Entourage Error message I have been getting may be fixed!
Example at <http://yfrog.com/7bentourageerrormsgp> The above says Entourage is unable to establish a secure connection to some non-standard POP server because the server name or IP address does not match the name or IP address on the the server¹s certificate. I lack the skills necessary to understand or repair OS X Keychain certificates so I chickened out and did it the easy way. I was not having the same Keychain or certificat issue on our MacBook Pro so I opened the MBP¹s Macintosh HD/System/Library/Keychains and zipped the whole folder to the desktop using the OS X right-click Compression option. I then copied the zipped file from the MBP to the iMac and used it to replace the suspect Keychains folder. Just to be safe I then used the Keychain First Aid/Repair option with no errors and did an OS X restart. Entourage 12.2.7 seems to be working great band I am no longer getting the weird error message when I pop the pop.att.yahoo.com mail server. Something hosed one of the certificates and trying to figure out which one was too hard. Thanks for reading. I hope this helps someone getting the same nasty error message. -- YouTalk mailing list List information: http://www.entourage.mvps.org/support_options/list.html List moderator: [email protected], [email protected] To unsubscribe: mailto:[email protected]?subject=unsubscribe
