The many calls to returnNewestByName() is gone, the problem now is: returnObsoletes -> returnNewestByName() -> _computeAggregateListResult() In this context, is _computeAggregateListResult() expensive (it's 30% of the ticks in 'yum install xpdf'), however don't much to do about that.
