Wouldn't it be much saver to put the "minor version number" into an own
column. That way you won't break other users (Ok, you would also have to
increase the dbversion).
Also I don't like the name "minor dbversion number" as the format of the db
is not changed with it. But that's what should be described by the version
number. Things get more confusing as we now start to have dbs with different
version numbers at one time.
A name for that column could be dbrelease or dbpatchlevel.
Btw: May be this should go into the yum-3.3 branch.
