I found this bootchart: http://www.harald-hoyer.de/files/boot/bootchart-fedora.png Look at yum-updatesd, it's the single worst service. Would it be possible to start the mainloop() quickly (in the yum-updatesd wrapper), return to prompt and then import yumupd and set up stuff in the background? Could also add a delay before importing yumupd if uptime is less 60 secs or something as resources is constrained during boot and yum-updatesd is not needed so short after boot anyway. - Terje _______________________________________________ Yum-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.dulug.duke.edu/mailman/listinfo/yum-devel
