A set of things I want to work on as Fedora starts into the F11 cycle. Things followed by question marks are questionable.
Yum: - keyword metadata searching/tag browsing - db to store yum-specific info about packages - barring that rpm doesn't end up letting us do this? - merge yum-complete-transaction into yum instead of yum-utils. - Think about different mechanisms for multiple provider handling: - James' metadata code - Optional prompting for selecting providers?? - downgrade? - repomd.xml signature checking as default - merge yum-security plugin/update_md functions into base? - merge in post-transaction-action? - trusted keys per repo? Yum-utils: - clean up package-cleanup code and interface - add pkg-prov and pkg-dep tree into one program and put in yum-utils - better docs and examples for repoquery - verify-tree - more options so you can disable/enable tests - have the results be a little more obvious - verify random other metadata - specifically check/handle updateinfo and comps md - verify comps w/relaxng should be less frelling annoying - remove repo-graph? Does anyone use this? just thoughts for the moment -sv _______________________________________________ Yum-devel mailing list Yum-devel@lists.baseurl.org http://lists.baseurl.org/mailman/listinfo/yum-devel
